COVID-19 Testing
TrulabDx’s COVID-19 test is an RT-PCR test. RT-PCR stands for reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, which is a molecular process used to check for genetic material (viral RNA) produced by the virus. This can help determine if an individual may be currently infected and potentially spread COVID-19 it to others. This test does not check for antibodies, [it detects the presence of the SARS CoV-19 virus that causes COVID -19.]
TruLabDx’s coronavirus tests can help to maintain a safe environment for your team or campus. Through this program, your organization will be screened for COVID-19, allowing you and your organization to take immediate action to prevent the spread of the virus.

This means that while the laboratory providing this test and home collection kit has validation data to support offering it, neither the test nor the collection kit have been approved or cleared by the FDA. This home collection kit has been authorized only for the home collection and maintenance of specimens as an aid in detection of nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2 (i.e., the COVID-19 virus), not for any other viruses or pathogens. This home collection kit in combination with the authorized test is only authorized for the duration of the declaration that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of emergency use of in vitro diagnostic tests for detection and/or diagnosis of COVID-19 under Section 564(b)(1) of the Act, 21 U.S.C. § 360bbb-3(b)(1), unless the authorization is terminated or revoked sooner.
Urinalysis Testing - (UTI)
Urinalysis testing is an important step in detecting infections to help regulate a variety of medical conditions like kidney disease, urinary tract infections, and diabetes.
Urinalysis: A urinalysis is composed of a group of physical, chemical, and microscopic tests on a sample of urine. These tests look for the presence of infection, such as bacteria and white blood cells.
Pharmacogenomics - (PGX)
Pharmacogenomics (PGx) looks for changes or variants in genes that are inherited from parents that play a role whether drug therapies (medication ) could be an effective treatment for you or whether you could have adverse side effects to a specific medication. This testing allows the determination of absorption and metabolism and how that may affect specific drug therapies work within your body.
PGx testing involves collecting a small blood sample or a saliva sample. Samples can be taken at the lab or your doctor can collect the sample at their practice, and send it to our lab for analysis by using a DNA sequencing process.
While PGx testing doesn’t guarantee that you will respond well to any specific drug therapy, it may help give your doctor ideas of how your body may react to specific medications or combinations of over-the-counter and prescription drugs. The data collected can be used by your doctor to make an appropriate treatment suggestion and safe medication selection.
Toxicology Screening
TrulabDX also conducts toxicology screenings. We understand the importance of maintaining an all-around healthy environment with general health; therefore, we provide quick results as many situations may be time sensitive for TOX screens.
TruLabDx offers toxicology screenings for clinics and rehabilitation centers. The most common method of screening is a urine sample to detect presence of drugs. More extensive screening such as blood sample, saliva, or hair can also be used.
TOX screens are most commonly ordered if needed to determine someone has taken prescription or illegal drugs that may endanger their health. There are symptoms such as confusion, deliriousness, unconsciousness, or panic attacks among other various reasons, that doctors observe and suspect a toxicology screen should be ordered .
